The songs:
Dreaming of Delphine from the album Villainess

Also, I’m curious about how you guys like this type of interview show as opposed to the regular musiconly type shows. Does the sound of the city add a nice ambiance or do the honking horns make you want to chew ground glass. I would love some feedback! Thanks!

On a very special episode of MikeyPod, the musical improv group Veal kindly let me sit in on one of their rehearsals. We talk about their process for creating musical comedy on the fly, they take me through their warm up process and create an opening number before my very eyes.

Please accept my apologies for the heinous sound quality during the song Holy Water. Yeah, sound is bad, but it was too hilarious to cut from the show.

<itunes:summary>On a very special episode of MikeyPod, the musical improv group Veal kindly let me sit in on one of their rehearsals. We talk about their process for creating musical comedy on the fly, they take me through their warm up process and create an opening number before my very eyes.

Please accept my apologies for the heinous sound quality during the song Holy Water. Yeah, sound is bad, but it was too hilarious to cut from the show.

Find out more about Veal on Facebook, MySpace and YouTube or see them live on Dec 13th at 10:30 at under St. Marks

Life Gets Beautful

Many thanks to Ralph Cutler and Christina Duren from Ariel Publicity for setting everything up for me!

In other news, I have decided to make MikeyPod a weekly music only podcast. In the next month or so I will be setting up another podcast feed for everything else. This last year or so in NYC has been such a learning time for me, and a struggle in so many ways, but at last I am feeling like I am where I want to be– loving the city and ready to get my activist self moving again. It always felt so awkward to try to cover both passions in one place: music and social justice. Many times the two intersect, of course, but it makes more sense to me to branch out in this way. Stay Tuned!
