About Michael Harren

Brooklyn-based composer and performer Michael Harren combines elements of classical composition with experimental electronics and storytelling to create hypnotic and boldly intimate work that walks the line between Laurie Anderson, Peter Gabriel and Dead Can Dance.

    Hrm… this actually sounds fun.

But I’m not sure if there’s anything worth protesting or protesting.

Maybe I need to bring out absurd signs like “Hug your cat!” or “I should be eating salad!”

I worship Yoko Ono, incredibly influential and so amazing. The B52s would not be if it weren’t for Yoko.

I love in the second part of the soundseeing that woman said, “Thats okay they were probably raised that way.” My patner and I talk alot about how its very likey that most people were just brainwashed into thinking “neo-con” and that if you question them enough, deep down they’re quite opposite. Kinda like what Madge said once how she thinks most people vote republican because they want to feel like they’re part of a club.

Lauence: I am looking forward to seeing what sort of sign you come up with. I don’t think I will be recording this week tho.

Adam: I am delighted to discover that you love Yoko Ono so much. There are so few of us!

Sharon: I am so glad that you have started listening, you are like celebrity podcast listener, really. I have arrived!

Stop Bombing Baby Carrots! Roger Clemens Died For Your Sins! I Am Confused And Slightly Feverish!…

So Deskmerc was bitching about some kind of annoying backup on Southwest Freeway the other day, people rubbernecking at some idiots up on the bridge protesting and backing up traffic. I didn’t notice. Traffic’s always screwed up around there. Anyway,…
