Good interview, Michael. I can totally identify with Robert’s obsession with early veg life eating junk foods and no vegetables. It’s a constant struggle for me.

When I was a teen (1970’s) it was often said that one can never get fat being a vegetarian or a vegan. Then industry started making all sorts of fattening vegetarian and vegan food! 🙂

Thanks for an interesting interview. I work out (for health not to body build or be a body beautiful) and I’m trying to increase the amount of protein in my diet. I like the idea of using vegetables and nuts (verses meat given the “bad” fat content and given that heart disease is part of my family history) as a way of increasing protein (and even the “good” fats). Thanks!

JY Richard: I always refer to myself in my 20’s as a “chips and salsa vegetarian” or I would eat just french fries when my friends were eating at a fast food place….such a balanced diet!

Joe G: Thanks for listening! That protein myth keeps alot of people from vegetarianism, I fight it alot myself…
