MikeyPod 237 | Direct Action Everywhere Organizer Priya Sawhney

August 7, 2017 by Michael Harren

Recorded in DxE‘s house in Berkeley, CA, here’s my interview with powerhouse activist Priya Sawhney. It was incredibly inspiring and energizing to stay in the DxE house for a few days. Lots and lots of work happening at all times, yet it was still a joyful and beautiful place. I love their message about non-violence and in approaching with love. Priya and I had a great conversation about those ideas, and she gives a solid explanation about DxE’s work with open rescue.

Enjoy the podcast, and if you’d like to help keep the tour going, subscribe to my Patreon page or make a one time tax-deductible donation here.

Follow Priya on Instagram and Facebook.

Come see my solo show, The Animal Show, in Portland. It’s the last show of the tour! All the info is here!

Brooklyn-based composer and performer Michael Harren combines elements of classical composition with experimental electronics and storytelling to create hypnotic and boldly intimate work that walks the line between Laurie Anderson, Peter Gabriel and Dead Can Dance.
