MikeyPod 238 | Author and Activist Ren Hurst

August 14, 2017 by Michael Harren

I have been looking forward to my stay with Ren Hurst for months, and the experience absolutely did not disappoint. Ren is a former horse trainer turned activist, author of Riding on the Power of Others, and founder of The New World Sanctuary Foundation. Our conversation came at the end of the six days I spent with her and her horses, camping out in gorgeous Northern California without electricity or plumbing. In spite of my general distaste for the outdoors, my experience was simply glorious, and I know this interview will inspire and open you, just like my time with Ren did me. Enjoy!

Enjoy the podcast, and if you’d like to help keep the tour going, subscribe to my Patreon page or make a one time tax-deductible donation here.

Follow Ren on Instagram and Facebook.

Here’s the tour playlist I mentioned on the show.

Come see my solo show, The Animal Show, in Portland TONIGHT. It’s the last show of the tour! All the info is here!

About Michael Harren

I was very interested in listening to this podcast, as I have been involved in horse farming for five years. I noticed many important details for myself. Thanks for sharing!
