Sunny Singh is another one of the fantastic creators I met a few months ago at Patrecon. I was thrilled to be meeting a fellow vegan creator, and was especially excited to learn about his work documenting hardcore shows on hate5six.
Sunny is a self-taught videographer and editor who filmed and archived thousands of performances from bands all over the world. His content has been viewed over 28 million times and people worldwide have spent 273 YEARS watching these videos. Sunny is also the creator of SAGE, an artificially intelligent band recommendation system to help connect people to music in an organic way. It’s pretty freaking remarkable.
Sunny and I talked quite a bit about what motivated him to start making the work that he does, the exceptional community within the hard core scene, and the passion that has led him to creating such an immense body of work.
