Craig Wilkins plays guitar and synth for Houston’s The Wheel Workers, and runs Vegan Houston. We’ve been  Facebook friends and vegan brothers for a while now and I love the latest album from the Wheel Workers so I figured it was time to bring him on the ol’ podcast. We had a great chat and it was nice to be reminded what a great arts town Houston is. Enjoy!

I’m so excited about today’s guest, Marcus Goldhaber, who has just come across my radar recently. I caught his show last Sunday  at Bar Thalia and was blown away by his talent and charming stage presence.  We talk about his approach to singing and songwriting and have a great chat about the evolution of the music industry and how we see ourselves within it. Of course, I included a few selections from his fantastic album, A Lovely Way to Spend an Evening.

Check it out and please comment, subscribe and share the show far and wide. Thank you for listening and if you’re on NYC, be sure to check out Marcus at 54 Below on July 25th!

MikeyPod 183 | Actor Kevin R. Free

Writer, performer and director Kevin R. Free joins me this week to talk about his hilariously intriguing new web series, Gemma and The Bear.  Kevin stays busy with all his various projects, so I was really happy we was able to take a moment to chat. This is a super special episode: I started this podcast right at 10 years ago. Woah.

MikeyPod 182 | Author Kristin Lajeunesse

In the fall of 2011, Kristin Lajeunesse left her job and cozy apartment to pursue her dream of traveling around the country to dine at every vegan restaurant in the US.  The trip took her two years during which she visited 547 restaurants, and now she’s published her lovely memoir of the trip, Will Travel For Vegan Food.

Kristin’s journey is a real inspiration to me, so I am thrilled to have her as my guest today. Let me know how you like the show and tell a friend!

Please subscribe in iTunes and check out if you’d like to know more about my work. Next week will be a special ten year anniversary episode. Don’t miss it!
